Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later, she was a the morning news anchor as well as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stay in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. Alongside her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She's covered The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
